<FONT COLOR=#509FFF>.....:::Lucid Dreams:::.....</font>
<FONT COLOR=#BDBDFF>from what i understand it as,
is your dreaming, but the second your mind says its 'only a dream', it becomes</font><FONT COLOR=#509FFF> lucid</font><FONT COLOR=#BDBDFF>..
And you can psyche yourself up...
or train yourself to realize in any dream, you can basically change its outcome...
By making yourself realize 'its only a dream'
I've been having this same dream, about twice a week, for over a year now.
sometimes i wont want to go to sleep the next night, for fear of dreaming it again...
in the dream, i think i'm awake, but i'll realize i'm dreaming, by trying to scream and nothing comes out, at this point, is when i know, its a dream...
but the figure is still standing there...
i'll try and make myself wake up...
by moving or screaming...and i cant do either one...
its just not happening...
sometimes i'll get REAL terrified....
because the figure is becoming clearer...
and i dont want to see it...
i'll finally wake up, totally paranoid.
i'll be by myself, and the background, of what i can see, is exactly the same as in the dream....
from what i read, they said, the more you run the more its going to stay with you...
and since i already knew i was dreaming..
i could have, or i should have, stayed to see, or ask 'what are you for'....
At this point, i can 'will' it to be, most anything pleasent...
or it will just disappear...
Because i, just faced the fear, so it has no reason to be there...
For some reason, i bet i dont dream that dream again, just by bringing it out like this, i'm already not affraid if it, so i wont dream it...
or if i do, i wanta see what i can do with it.....</font>

Many people see spiders, snakes, animals or people in the room, are unable to fully awake, difficult to comfort, with no memory of the event on awakening the next day.

Try to look at the dream as a work of art, and appreciate the cinematic qualities, even those that frightened you. These horror stories are usually signals that a deeper understanding is necessary before we can move through the present situation. The more threatening the dream, the greater are the benefits to be derived from exploring and understanding it. If you move forward with courage, you can expect rich rewards for your efforts.</font></font>

<FONT COLOR=#BDBDFF>Drawbacks of Forced Lucidity: I advise people to pursue lucidity in dreams for the right reasons. We live in a society addicted to quick thrills and remote control units. Extending that addiction to your dream life could contaminate a process that now helps keep you balanced, healthy and sane. There is a possibility that forcing yourself toward lucid dreams could interfere with your normal dream process. If you remember your dreams, listen to them, and record them you will be almost guaranteed to have some lucid dream experiences. If you choose to experiment, I recommend you do so periodically rather than constantly, allowing yourself plenty of time for "unstructured" dreaming. </font></font>

Hey Mel,That's alot like the dream that I have been having also. although it does have it's diffrences. It's were I am lying in bed and there is this figure sitting next to me looking down on me and I can't see it clearly at all,I can't scream and I have trouble breathing. I even woke myself up in the middle of the night screaming help,Only because in the dream it wouldn't come out. I tried so hard that it came out as the figure began to disapear.

DARKsyde!! i know what you mean exactly...
i spent an entire day reading about this and its truely interesting..
Myra! it all means something...
click on some of the links and search for the meaning...and if and when you dream about it again...it will be fascinating to see how much knowing this stuff helps...
DARKsyde! i havnt had that dream since i found all this out, but your supposed to confront that person, like fight the fear and ask what its for...
because it means something, and thats the reason why you had that dream, because its in your mind n stuff....
i think its freaky to have that dream for so long and just finding out about this stuff, its not coming back... probly because i've already fought the fear in my head...
so it has no reason to???
*L* i had a dream that i opened my mouth to talk, and all my teeth fell completely out..*L*
...k...there are several meanings to this...
you read what it could mean then YOU'll just know which is close to your meaning...
TEETH are having to do with talking...
if you choke or swallow a tooth then it has to do with ... like your telling or living a lie and its going to get you introuble...
your going to choke on it....ect
Loose or falling out..
could mean that your talking too much, or your going to say the wrong things...
or you have been saying the wrong things...
like talking about somebody and you shouldnt be....
WHEN you know this, and dream about it again, your mind can then tell you
'your dreaming' then it becomes Lucid,
then you can go ahead and feel (while its lucid)...
what the real meaning is.....get it????
it has something to do with YOU and Real Time... because its in YOUR mind....

Holy Shit!!..You scared the fuck out of me Leo!! *deep breath
i was in deep thought here doin this stuff..
oooh!man!! wheeeew!!!
<FONT COLOR=#B9F1C8>dealing directly
with dream fears, learning they cannot harm us, can help us to overcome them.</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#C6C6FF>Fear is your worst enemy in dreams; if you allow it to persist it will grow stronger and your self-confidence will diminish.</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#FFC4C4>"Escaping" from a nightmare by awakening only suppresses your conscious awareness of the anxiety-provoking imagery. You may
feel a certain relief, but like the prisoner who digs through his prison wall and finds himself in the cell next door, you
haven't really escaped. Moreover, aware of it or not, you are left with an unresolved conflict which will doubtless come
back to haunt you some other night. In addition, you may have an unpleasant and unhealthy emotional state with which to
start your day.
If, on the other hand, you choose to stay in the nightmare rather than waking from it, you can resolve the conflict in a way that brings you increased self-confidence and improved mental health. Then when you wake up you will feel that you have freed some extra energy with which to begin your day
with new confidence.</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#B9F1C8>LISTEN!! just thinking about facing it..
over and over...
Just think about facing the dream!! makes it sooo much easier to face!!! The more you run the worse it gets...FACE THE DREAM!!!
right now, its a dream it can NOT hurt you!!</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#C6C6FF>A Story:
Just by using your imagination NOW, so IF or when it happens again you can face it...</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#FFC4C4>This time I make myself enter the room where the source of my fears seems to be. I am so afraid, so afraid that the flow of images stops. But through sheer will I make myself
enter the room ready for anything. I want to confront my fear by willing myself to stay with the situation no matter what....
I am ready to face that which could overwhelm me and exist.
...When I do [enter the room], there seems to be a hulking luminescent figure there. It does not attack me.
We face each other. I have stayed with the
situation. No attack comes.
My fear goes away when I
experience what is there behind the door, and has been there so many years going back to childhood. What has been there
behind every door and scary place is fear itself and my inability to fully deal with it.</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#B9F1C8>AND thats ALL it was!! The dream was gone!!
has no reason to return, because you faced it...</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#FFFFC8>A recurring dream is letting you know that there is something in your life that needs to be recognized as being a challenge, and changed so it won't cause you any problems or hurt anymore. Until this message is understood, the dream recurs over and over again.</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#C6C6FF>SHADOWY CORRIDOR/HALL: a hallway is a narrow path, symbolizing a place you must travel through in your waking life. You don't have many choices but to travel down this path, and if it's dark that means you are not seeing clearly, and need to step back and re-evaluate your situtation from different angles.</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#C6C6FF>RUNNING is a symbol for avoidance, caused by any number of things...fear, resistance, not being ready, etc. It can also symbolize a need to hurry, or impatience. You as the dreamer are the best judge of which one this symbol represents in your dream. How did it make you feel? Was this feeling temporary, or was the solution temporary?</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#C6C6FF>DARK ALLEY: this is symbolic of making the wrong choices and choosing a path that has the illusion of being the way out, but which is really just a diversion and a way for you to avoid the inevitable a little while longer. It's dark, which means unenlightened. It does seem to go on forever, because we have free will and can avoid problems for a long, long time in many different ways. But doing so leaves us feeling empty and like we are "spinning our wheels" instead of accomplishing our goals</FONT>
<FONT COLOR=#C6C6FF>The DEATH SCREAM is the fear and anger and resistance of changing. Resolve these feelings so it won't be so hard on you to make positive changes in your life.</FONT>

Mel, my brother, the youngest one, used to have night terrors. He could tell my mom when he was going to have them and he said that something black was chasing him and it made a noise that he couldn't explain. To this day....he can hear a certain peice of music....in any song....and he said that it is the sound that the black thing made. There are five of us kids....we all walk and talk in our sleep. I wonder if this stuff is hereditary. BTW...I have stupid ass dreams.........the whole time I am dreaming I'm saying to myself......you are fucked up and need to see a shrink...*L
